Say WHAT, USA? I have stuff I have to do on Tuesday nights so I can’t watch White Collar. And I hate ads—I use adblocking on everything because I can’t stand how messy the website looks with ads. I even hate ads in Youtube. But I can deal with ads on your website to watch white collar and burn notice. Even so, you stopped posting episodes. Why? Isn’t there a piracy problem that studios want to get rid of? Yes, there will always be the jerks who download the stuff no matter what. There’s nothing you can do about them. But what about the loyal fans who WILL endure ads and watch through real channels if it’s provided? Come ON, USA Network. You’re not really losing anything by putting it online.
So in physics today, my friend was browsing a website and came up with this. I thought it was funny because I grew up watching/listening to doraemon.
So, my dad brought me a multimeter from Taiwan. There’s some text, 共用點, that I didn’t understand. I guessed it meant “ground” but I wasn’t sure. I looked it up on Google, forgot it was on Spanish and got the following…..
So in the first week of school, I have learned a couple things.
1. My Ethics class boasts office hours at Espresso Royale, half an hour to an hour before class.
2. Physics is not a class. It’s a quiz show.
3. Tea addictions do not go away quietly—I’ve had likely more than 10 pots of tea in the two days I’ve been back for the weekend.

Wow. 2 months, huh? I’m pretty inconsistent. Will try to update more often.
So anyway, I was reading an article on arstechnica (http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/2011/01/iosafe-full-metal-jacket.ars) and I immediately thought, “Wow, to get an ioSafe titanium drive inside a Panasonic Toughbook would be absolutely amazing. It is too bad it’s combustible. I’ve seen some pretty cool videos of the Toughbook on youtube, but not one that says it is fire-proof. Too bad, that’d be really cool.
So, for personal notes…
In the last two months, I’ve lost my new phone to tea. So I have an old Nokia, which I like. I’ve always thought Nokia made solid phones. Got a 3.55 for the semester, and spent the entire Winter Break in nocturnal mode (I slept from 10am-9pm for most of it). Pretty tired from trying to keep myself up, but I have really early morning classes (8am). I should probably be sleeping right now. I hope to be posting again soon!

哇! 我很久沒寫東西了! 我記得我說我下次會用中文寫. 好難哦.我現在再靠電腦幫我選字. 上赤寫的時間到現在發現了很多東西.重台灣來的朋友已經回去了. 我暑假想要他們過來玩. 可是我也想回台北學中文. 那我想看到他們.如果我在台灣, 他們在美國就看不到了! 啊, 我知道了! 還是他們寒假來吧! ＝Ｐ 那之外, 已經開學了. 今年的課陳好難哦! 比去年難道三到四倍! 都沒什麼時間跟朋友玩. 唉呦…. 下次在說吧! (看我還活著嗎….)
So I haven’t posted a while—I’ve been pretty busy. I mean, there are two Taiwanese kids over at my house. For my sake, I’m going to give them English names. Let’s call them Kyle and Will. They are twins. So, they’ve dragged me to watch baseball. And I’ve been going every possible day. It’s fun. I’ve been addicted. It’s good to see Taiwan come out and fight! I missed the first game and the second to last game (I only went to the Taiwan matches cuz Taiwan is, well, quite frankly awesome).
It was in Taylor, Michigan so it’s a bit of a drive out there but it’s definitely worth it. Funny thing is, I had no idea this happened every year. Guess what I’m doing next year?
Anyway, it’s been pretty exciting. First match I saw was Ukraine v. Taiwan. Taiwan won by 13. Ukraine got a grand total of 0 points. Second match I saw was Taiwan v. Canada. Taiwan won 10-0. Third match was Taiwan v. Mexico. This one scared me a bit. However, Taiwan pulled through 8-5. Then I watched Taiwan v. Texas. Taiwan won 9-1. I was really anxious because it was scoreless through the top of the fourth inning, but Mexico scored in the bottom of the fourth. However, Taiwan pulled through again!
I have to admit, I’m sort of Taiwanese about this. I’m pissed that they called us “Chinese Taipei”. It’s Taiwan, plain and simple. I hate how Taiwan is overshadowed by the People’s Republic of China, and world politics. I don’t care what people say, Taiwan /is/ a country.
Now that today’s sport rant is over (heh, soccer to baseball, huh?), more about the boys.
Both of them are really cool. It’s funny because a lot of the time all three of us are sitting next to each other, on computers—while my sister is sleeping. We call it the “otaku party”.
At first, I was apprehensive about them coming. I mean, I know that people aren’t always what they seem to be on the surface. Their parents may think they are great people, but they are really horrible kids. However, this is /not/ the case. Will and Kyle are both great people.
With both of them here, we’ve played card games, board games, and done more sports than I’ve done in a while. Finally picked up another basketball.
Currently, they are in Florida with my sister (I’m not a fan of where they went). So they’re not gone yet. Right now, I kind of don’t want them to leave, but I’m leaving for college before they leave for Taiwan. They’re not gone for good yet, so maybe I’ll dedicate another post (maybe in Chinese, heh) to them.

You know what would make me like iOS4 more? If there was an option to turn multi-tasking off. Even though it died, and I had to plug it into my computer again to charge, the multi-tasking programs were still in “memory”. It was fully charged when I went to bed. 12 hours later, a third of the battery charge is gone.
